About this Privacy Policy

The Go Travel Portugal Organisation respects your preferences regarding the collection and use of your Personal Data.

"Personal Data", refers to information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("Data Subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data, electronic identifiers or to one or more specific elements of that natural person's physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

Go Travel Portugal respects your preferences regarding the processing of Personal Data it collects. This Policy ("Policy") lets you know how Go Travel Portugal collects and uses your Personal Data, how you can control its use, and describes our practices regarding information collected on other Group websites that link to or reference this Policy (such as websites, software applications, social media and electronic messaging), as well as offline marketing and sales activities (collectively, "Communication Channels").

Communication Channels may provide links to other platforms outside the Organisation universe. We encourage you to check the privacy policies of such websites, services, social media, or applications before providing your Personal Data.

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you register on our website or place an order to purchase products or services. We also collect information from you when you voluntarily complete questionnaires, use the chat tool, provide feedback, subscribe to newsletters or feeds, call or write to us.

The personal data collected are those necessary for the purpose for which you contacted us, processing data such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, subject, VAT number (in the case of a commercial transaction) and identity document (in the case of exercising a right).

We ask you not to send or share with Go Travel Portugal any sensitive personal information such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, as well as genetic data, biometric data, data relating to health or data relating to sex life or sexual orientation.

Website usage information is collected using cookies, but does not specifically identify you, and the following data is or may be collected:

  • IP address.
  • Geographic location.
  • Information about the device that is accessing the website, namely, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, preferred language, information contained in the HTTP headers and agent version.
  • The search engine that you used to locate and access the website.
  • Date and time of activity on the website, as well as web pages and content visited and clicked on.

It should be noted that this usage information does not deliberately identify you and if it does, it will be anonymised immediately.

By providing information you are giving your informed and unequivocal consent to the automated processing of data about you.

Some of the data requested are mandatory, being identified, and the lack or inaccuracy of the answers given may compromise the service provided.

How do we use information about you?

The data we collect is used to process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, email you information about other products and services we think may be of interest to you.

We use the information collected from the website to personalise your future visits.

If you agree we will send your personal information to the various Go Travel Portugal companies so that they can offer you their products and services.

Go Travel Portugal does not share your information for marketing campaigns with non-group companies or transfer your Personal Information to a third country.

Although the information you provide is generally treated as private within Go Travel Portugal, the data collected will be used in accordance with the personal data protection regulation throughout the processing; it may, however, be necessary to transfer Personal Data privately to other bodies, in particular the judiciary, and when processing your request, we may send your data to and also use credit bureau and fraud prevention information.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a European Union Supervisory Authority regarding the protection of your Personal Data. Go Travel Portugal will co-operate with the supervisory authority by providing it with any information that it may request in the exercise of its powers.

The information collected on this website does not involve automated decision making, including profiling.

This website does not carry out comparisons, interconnections or any other form of interrelating the information recorded.

Because your data may circulate on an open network, it runs the risk of being seen and used by unauthorised third parties.

A Go Travel Portugal only accepts registrations from users who are at least 16 years of age. Go Travel Portugal's Communication Channels are not directed at underage users. If you know of any registration made by a minor, please notify us of this fact so that we can proceed immediately to remove the registration of the same.

The recipients or categories of recipients of your Personal Data depending on the contact tool you use are the Marketing and Communication, Call Center, Pre-sales and Commercial and Technical Support departments. We will share your Personal Data with your consent or as necessary to complete any transaction or provide any service you have requested. We also share data with affiliates controlled by Go Travel Portugal and subsidiaries; with vendors working on our behalf; when required by law or to respond to legal process; to protect our customers; to protect lives; to maintain the security of our services; and to protect property rights or the Go Travel Portugal.


Accessing and correcting your information

We want to be sure of the accuracy and reliability of the information we retain about you.

We rely on you to provide us with accurate and complete information and to update your details in relation to any changes in the information provided.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without compromising the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent previously given 

and the right to request Go Travel Portugal to access the Personal Data concerning you, as well as its rectification or erasure, and the limitation of processing insofar as it concerns you, or the right to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability.

The Personal Data necessary for the performance of the contract to which the User is party, for compliance with the legal obligations to which the Party Responsible for Treatment is subject and those that are necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Go Travel Portugal are not included in the previous point.

Notwithstanding any legal or regulatory provisions to the contrary, Personal Data shall be kept only for the minimum period necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or further processed, after which they shall be deleted or, if it is in the interest of Go Travel Portugal, processed for statistical purposes, anonymised, without it being possible to identify the Data Controller.

Consent is required for the further processing of Personal Data for a purpose other than that for which the data has been collected, prior to such processing the Controller shall provide the Data Subject with information about that purpose and any other relevant information.

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If requests made by the User are manifestly unfounded or excessive, namely due to their repetitive character, Go Travel Portugal, under the legal framework in force, may demand the payment of a reasonable fee considering the administrative costs of providing the information or communication, or of taking the requested measures, or refuse to comply with the request.

Go Travel Portugal uses Technical Cookies, Personalisation Cookies and Analysis Cookies; it does not use Advertising Cookies or Behavioural Advertising Cookies.

Information relating to cookies is controlled and accessed by the owner of the website.

Go Travel Portugal newsletters may, for statistical purposes, contain a single "pixel" that allows you to know if they are opened and to verify clicks through links within each newsletter.

The user always has the possibility of deactivating the sending of the newsletter.
